Fat Stitch only sells items we believe to be of good quality. We painstakingly have spent 100’s of hours of research and combing through products to provide you with a choice curated selection of the best of the best to save you the hassle of trying to figure out what’s good and what isn’t.

Please let us know if you feel the quality is not up to standard. We want to know!!! We try to test everything before we sell it but sometimes that isn’t always possible. If you find an item isn’t quite up-to-snuff, we will gladly exchange it for something better. 🙂

We make sending in your quilt top super easy and hassle. In fact, so easy that we have loyal customers that get their quilts quilted with us from across the country.

Here’s how it works:

1. Place order for Longarm Machine Quilting Services and pay 50% deposit (A check can also be sent along with your quilt top).
2. We mail you an eco-friendly shipping bag with a pre-paid return shipping label to use to send in your quilt top. Or if you prefer, we can e-mail you a label to print out and tape to a mailer bag/box. 
3. We ship it back to you, hassle-free! (order to be paid in full prior to return)

At Fat Stitch, one of our core values is sustainability and we don’t want to contribute to the microplastic crisis. So we choose to quilt with some of the best 100% Egyptian thread in the world. We also don’t use toxic sprays or glues in the basting process. We baste the old-fashioned way, with stitches!!

We are a nontoxic and polyester-free a.k.a. plastic-free shop. For this reason we use 100% natural batting that is free from toxic scrims, resins, and binders like so many of the popular brands carry. For this reason, we only use Quilters Dream and Winline at the moment. If/when we find another responsible USA supplier, we may add them to our list.

Yes! Sustainability is a key core value that is considered in every business decision we make. We have invested a great deal in research and investment to use recyclable and sustainable packaging. We have a zero-plastic polity in our single-use shipping supplies. This ends up costing us significantly more, however we feel our planet is worth every penny! 

Our eco-friendly bags for sending in your quilt tops for longarm machine quilting, are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. And when these bags are ready to retire, g2 revolution will recycle them making sure they are shredded, cleaned, and reused to make composite decking.
